The Bower Foundation advances the health status of Mississippians by providing grants for the creation, expansion, and support of quality healthcare initiatives.
Our approach to grantee selection is typically proactive, which means we identify almost all of our grantees through our own research – not from grant submittal forms. The Foundation works with selected stakeholders and organizations on strategic initiatives and special projects. As a result, we are able to organize our efforts and address issues from various approaches, on many levels, and with appropriate timing to optimize systemic and sustainable grant outcomes.
Only a small percentage of grants develop from grant concepts submitted by prospective grantees.
